oil spill absorbent booms deployed on marine-based oil spills
Oil spill absorbent booms are barriers that prevent oil on water from spreading. Metal o-rings and snap hooks are used to link the sections together. A rope runs the length of each section and keeps the booms taut. 5" diameter booms are for still or slow moving water, and 8" diameter booms are used in water with a current. Use oil absorbent booms in conjunction will oil spill pads, rolls, and sweeps.
