Oil Absorbent Products (pads)

Oil only absorbent pads are available in single-layer and multi-layer compositions. Some are great oil spill pads for marine-based spills, others are the perfect oil absorbent products for general maintenance applications, and some oil mats can be used for both applications. What they all have in common is that they are hydrophobic (repel water) and hydrophilic (absorb hydrocarbon-based fluids). Choose the composition that works best for your particular application.

fmf pads (blue)

Fine fiber meltblown polypropylene composites have a soft microfiber membrane on both sides of the pad. They grip many surfaces when saturated, and they also remove the sheen from your floors. FMF is our highest quality, and most popular oil-only sorbent for maintenance usage.

Standard meltblown polypropylene oil absorbent pads are great for absorbing hydrocarbon-based fluids off of the surface of water. The open fiber construction quickly draws oil into the lofty meltblown web. Oil spill pads are commonly used in conjunction with booms, rolls, and sweeps.

bonded pads (white)

Point bonded meltblown polypropylene sorbents have an open fiber construction that draws in high viscosity fluids. Bond points tie down loose fibers. Bonded pads are great for both environmental spill clean-up and for maintenance applications to absorb hydrocarbon-based fluids.

drum tops (white)

Drum toppers are round oil absorbent products that fit on top of 55 gallon drums and catch the inevitable drips after pumping or filling. Each pad has two bungholes.

sms pads (white)

Spunbond polypropylene membranes are smooth, durable, and abrasion-resistant. They withstand wear and tear, and they are great for wiping down greasy tools and equipment. The lofty meltblown polypropylene center layer is highly absorbent and wicks up hydrocarbon-based fluids quickly.

sm pads (white)

Spunbond/Meltblown polypropylene composite is a dual-textured product. The spunbond polypropylene side is durable, abrasion-resistant, and great for wiping. The fibrous meltblown pp side is great for absorbing viscous fluids. Use SM for both oil spill applications and for MRO applications.
